ABOUT US
The UMD Club Swim Team is a place for swimmers of various skill levels to come together to practice, compete, and socialize with one another.
MEETS
We typically compete in meets on the East Coast traveling to 2 to 3 meets a semester in addition to hosting our own invitational each semester. We generally compete against other club teams at local colleges and universities such as UVA, JMU, UDel, Princeton, and Loyola, among others.
In the spring, for those who qualify, club swim represents the university at Collegiate Club Swimming National Championship. More information about nationals can be found here!

Service
Service is an important aspect
of club swim.

Though out the semester we volunteer with on-campus and local organizations to serve our neighboring communities.
Our terps are dedicated to service events including Swim-A-Thons, Food/Clothing Drives, Campus Beautification, and more!
Fundraising
Fundraising is an important aspect of club swimming. It helps our team travel to meets and host formals and other events.

Throughout the semester we work the Xfinity concession stands and have local fundraisers in local restaurants in and around College Park.
By working and attending these events, it allows us to pay for travel meet expenses, end of the year formals, new equipment, etc. These are great fundraising opportunities to raise money for our club team while also socializing with peers.
Social
Outside of the pool, we enjoy socializing!

Fun events throughout the semester look like barbecues, tailgates, hiking, kick ball, pasta-parties, and so much more!

At the end of the fall and spring semester, club swim celebrates together at formal!
